Contact the lab about research assistant opportunities.
Note: we are not currently looking for new RAs for Fall 2025.
Undergraduate Research Assistants help members of the SSoC Lab conduct experiments online and in person, attend lab meetings, and clean and code data. They work closely with the PI, Dr. Ashley Harrell, to learn more about the kinds of questions social scientists ask, and how social scientists conduct research to answer those questions. Depending on the RA’s interests, they can also tackle advanced experimental programming, data analysis, or study design. Experienced undergrad RAs have completed honors theses or independent studies with the PI, and have gone on to work in consulting or market research, to attend law school or grad school, and more! RAs must be highly responsible, attentive to details, trustworthy, a “team player”, and able to work independently. Previous experience is not necessary. We typically post new positions on Muser during their project posting cycles. But we are also open to hearing from interested students at any time - just fill out the form here to indicate your interest.
